Brad Blakemore is 3rd generation from the Blakemore family from Sacramento, CA.

Brad’s grandfather was in the insurance business with State Farm; Brad’s father was in the lumber business and had his own lumber business, Agate Sales, in Sacramento.

Brad has always had a passion for the building business and at the young age of 19 started from the ground up as a laborer on an 88-unit apartment complex. After 4 years of hands-on experience doing all types of construction work, he earned his general contractors license.

He formed Blakemore Construction Co. in 1983. For the first 5 years he specialized in foundations and framing on custom homes for other general contractors. Then, in December of 1987 he was approached by a realtor to build his first speculation custom home. He built the custom home in Elk Grove, CA for $42 per square foot. The home was sold prior to completion as the quality of the workmanship spoke for itself.

Now, over 20 years later, Blakemore Construction still specializes in new custom homes, remodels and additions, and has also remodeled/expanded commercial properties for clients he has formed relationships with after remodeling/building residential projects.
